At the start of the 1990s, our shock-resistant and stylish G-SHOCK watches were becoming more and more popular with female fans as well. The only problem was that the men's sizes were often too big and chunky for women's wrists. CASIO saw that something needed to be done and in 1994 released the DW-520 — the very first BABY-G! It was shock-resistant and robust just like its big brother and its bright power colours caught everyone's attention. But most importantly, it was small enough to fit young girls' wrists.
